About David Hill

Experienced Cloud and Technology Leader

David Hill is an experience Technical Product Marketing leader with a focus on Cloud and Cloud Native technology.  David has worked in the IT industry for nearly 30 years.  David has previously held senior roles at Veeam Software and VMware.  David is a well known Public Speaker presenting at a number of industry conferences.

Until 2010, David was Managing Director of a consultancy company based in the UK, which left to take up a position with VMware. While at VMware for 8 years he helped lead the global cloud initiative setup to deliver Cloud Service Providers with the capabilities to deliver IaaS offerings.  During his time at VMware David became the lead evangelist for VMware vCloud Air, VMware’s public cloud service.  After VMware David joined Veeam as Field CTO and Lead Cloud Native evangelist, helping Veeam grow its brand awareness in public cloud and developer spaces.

David has written multiple books and white papers, and provided guidance to industry analysts and the IT press.
