Server Certificate not verified error vCloud Air Plugin

After upgrading the VMware vSphere web client vCloud Air plugin today, I received the error, Server Certificate Not Verified. This error appeared when I was trying to add in my vCloud Air credentials. First you click the register vCloud Air Account Then you enter the credentials However, once you click OK you receive the error: Server Certificate Not Verified This error is actually expected, as the new release of the vCloud Air plugin version 1.5.1 release notes specifically state: Certificate requirement While establishing an SSL connection to vCloud Air, the plug-in verifies the SSL certificate of the site. As part of the installation process, you must download the certificate from https://vchs.vmware.com and add it to the trusted keystore of the vSphere Web Client. vCloud Air vSphere Client update released

Today VMware released the vCloud Air vSphere Client update version 1.5.1.  This release doesn’t have any new features, but does fix some issues that have been found in the previous version. The issues resolved that this release resolve are: Certificate requirement While establishing an SSL connection to vCloud Air, the plug-in verifies the SSL certificate of the site. As part of the installation process, you must download the certificate from https://vchs.vmware.com and add it to the trusted keystore of the vSphere Web Client. If you do not add the certificate, you will be unable to register your vCloud Air account with the plug-in or connect to vCloud Air. Internationalization The plug-in now accepts non-ASCII characters in text fields and displays names with non-ASCII characters correctly. Smaller package size The plug-in package size has been reduced significantly, to approximately 10 MB. VMware vCloud Air Australia – a new location

VMware has announced that vCloud Air will be expanding to Australia in 2015.  VMware vCloud Air Australia will offer local vSphere customers the ability to build and extend the hybrid cloud in the local geography.  Something they have been asking for for some time. VMware vCloud Air Australia Asia is a big market place for IT, and having cloud offerings in both Japan and Australia will provide flexible access for customers building their cloud strategy.
