vCloud Air Network VMworld sessions
Hot on the heels of Antony Spiteri’s blog post titled VMWORLD 2017: VCLOUD AIR NETWORK AGAIN OUT IN FORCE I wanted to give my own take on the vCloud Air Network sessions being presented at VMworld. This year is a good year for Cloud at VMworld, alongside the VMware on AWS sessions, the vCloud Air Network has a number of sessions, plus a ton of sessions being led by some of the cloud industries biggest players, IBM, iland, Navisite, CenturyLink to name a few. VMware vCloud Availability Logical Architecture
VMware recently launched a new version of VMware vCloud Availability for vCloud Director, with the latest version being 1.0.1. I wanted to talk about the VMware vCloud Availability Logical Architecture, and how a public cloud consumer using a vCloud Availability offering from a vCloud Air Network provider can easily build a Disaster Recovery offering. Install Windows Server 2016 GUI Desktop Experience
If you have installed Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and are wondering where the GUI now called Desktop Experience is, then unfortunatly the only way to have the Desktop is to re-install the OS. I have just installed Windows Server 2016 today for the first time, and as its just for testing purposes, never really paid much attention to the installation procedure. I’ve installed Windows countless times, so just always click next, next select disk finish. Unfortunatly this time, Windows Server Core (thats what it was called in the old days) appeared. No big deal, lets have a quick google and install it.
