Today I am announcing that I have left VMware after 8 years at a great company.
I don’t want to start one of those this is my life story blogs, as I typically find them a bit awkward and I am not interested in trying to create any drama about my own personal choices.
What I do want to say is thanks to a few people. During my time at VMware I have made some amazing and incredible friends. I have worked with some of the most outstanding individuals this industry has ever seen. Four of those people have been instrumental in helping my career and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.
- Chris Colotti
- Duncan Epping
- Jenny Fong
- Mathew Lodge
So, where am I going? Well I have decided to join Veeam and will be working in the Product Strategy group with Rick Vanover, Anthony Spiteri, Michael Cade and others under the guidance of Danny Allen. It is an exciting time for Veeam as they are experiencing phenomenal growth, and growing the enterprise footprint through backup, cloud and management products.
I am not leaving my cloudy focus behind either. A lot of my focus will be on Microsoft Azure, and Cloud Native areas like Kubernetes and Containers.
I am excited to get going, I will of course miss the VMware people, but the time was right to explore a new avenue in the United States of America!!
Thanks and speak soon.
Good luck Dave, thanks for all the fun/laughter and great conversations. It was a pleasure to work with you!
Best of luck to you! Life IS a journey….enjoy the ride!
