VMworld public voting open

Its that time of year again where the VMworld session voting is open to the public.  I have submitted two sessions this year that I think will help pass on some of the information I and my colleagues have learnt over the year. The sessions I have submitted are: Session 1166: Monitoring a vCloud Infrastructure: Presenters – David Hill and Andy Troup Abstract: For a VMware vCloud to be successful and operationally sustainable, an absolutely critical step is developing a solid monitoring solution. Wish I had a whiteboard desk

Frank Denneman wrote a great article “Whiteboard desk” demonstrating his whiteboard desk, and frankly I think it is awesome!  Once I have established where I am going to live next, I will also be purchasing an Ikea kitchen worktop. Frank has asked in his article that people share there workspace/areas with him, so I thought I would certainly partake in this. The pictures below show my “home office” and while it is certainly not minimalistic like Franks, it serves me well, and also doubles as my “Man Cave” aka the place I hide away from my wife when she is on a cleaning/mad mission in the house. Looking for players – North East England vFooty (vFootball, vSoccer)

David Owen aka @vMackem and myself are trying to organise 5 or 6 a side football game each week in the North East of England.  We will be looking to play somewhere between Middlesbrough and South Shields. If anyone is interested in playing either ping us on twitter or leave a comment on this post.  Once we have enough numbers we will vote on the location (based on the majorities location). We will also hold a North East vBeers afterwards as well, to finish off the game in traditional style 🙂
