Why am I so quiet?

Thought I would write a quick blog post now that I am feeling a bit better explaining where I have been and why I have been so quiet on Twitter.

On Wednesday 1st August I was admitted to hospital for an urgent operation on my inner ear.  It turns out I had a severe infection that was attacking my balance organ and potentially my brain.  They had to operate fast.  After an operation of this kind, and with such disruption to my balance organ I have been quite ill.  I am recovering but it is a slow process.  I am hoping to be back fully fit in a few more weeks.  Unfortunately I will not be able to make VMworld US, but will be fully fit for VMworld Barcelona.  Thanks for all your support.

The pictures below are taken from when I came out of theatre.

Hope to see you all soon.

Sorry to hear you had to have surgery and you’ll miss VMworld US, and really glad you’re well now and recovering. Hope to see you again at PEX.

    Cheers!

    GS
