VMworld 2013 session accepted

Another year another VMworld. I have just received the email telling me my VMworld 2013 session was accepted. It is a crazy ride working for VMware. Session: PHC4750 – How to Build a Hybrid Cloud in Less than a Day Presenters: David Hill Abstract: In this session we will discuss how you can build a hybrid cloud in less than a day. With multiple technologies available to enable the hybrid cloud, we will look at how you can turn your current vSphere infrastructure into a Hybrid. Its that time of year again, where the public vote is open for the VMworld 2013 sessions YOU want to see.  You can start voting straight away by clicking here. I have listed the sessions that I have submitted below, and hope that you think they are suitable and worthy of your vote. VMworld 2013 Call for Papers Open

So straight after PEX it is time to start thinking of sessions that people would like to see at VMworld 2013.  Today the VMworld call for papers opened. I will be submitting four this year, hopefully one or two of them will get accepted, but the competition is tough, and looking at the guidelines for what to submit it will be even tougher this year. Be Original –Attendees do not want to see the same presentations as last year and are looking for the latest innovation in technology. Spend time developing your title, abstract, outline, and session takeaways. These will be key factors in determining whether your session is selected and can affect session attendance. Be Educational – Attendees do not like being sold on your company. Be neutral and focus on the educational value of your presentation. VMworld Barcelona

VMworld Barcelona is just around the corner. Unlike VMworld US where I was on vacation spending most of my time in the hang space, I will be at Barcelona in an official VMware capacity. I will be carrying out some booth duty, so if anyone wants to meet me, please come over to the VMware vCloud Booth. I will be presenting a session alongside Aidan Dalgleish, Frank Denneman and Rawlinson Rivera INF-VSP1168 – Architecting a Cloud Infrastructure Tuesday 12:30 – 13:30 This session will discuss the various design considerations when architecting the foundation for every solid cloud environment: vSphere 5.0. We will start with sizing and scaling and end with some operational guidance. Different examples will be used to show the impact design considerations can have on the availability of your services.
