Make sure you sign up.

Update: I am very pleased to announce that Chris Colotti (@ccolotti), a Consulting Architect from the Americas Cloud Practice will also be presenting this session with me.

My session has been accepted for VMworld 2011!

I am extremely excited about presenting at VMworld, having never had the opportunity previously attend VMworld!! So with this being my first VMworld, what a way to attend.

I previously presented this session at PEX2011 in Orlando and won an award for it so I hope the second time round this will be another success.

For those who attended at PEX, the session will be completely overhauled to include the latest vCloud Reference Architecture.

I hope to see lots of familiar faces in the audience, and especially hope to see lots of faces I don’t recognise.

Session Abstract

Enterprises globally are enthusiastically embracing Cloud Computing as both a way of reducing costs and improving the quality of service IT provides to its end customers. To achieve this, enterprises are looking to VMware and its partners to help them deploy VMware vCloud Director-based Private Cloud environments. For a VMware vCloud Director-based Private Cloud to be successful and operationally sustainable, an absolutely critical first step is developing a solid vCloud architecture. This session will help partners address this critical first step by exploring the proven, practical activities and considerations VMware has defined, based on experience, for developing a vCloud architecture. A participant in this session will leave with a deep technical understanding of the guiding principles underlying a VMware vCloud Reference Architecture-compliant Private Cloud architecture. In addition to the technical aspects, this session will also provide the participant with an understanding of the key business requirements driving enterprises decision to implement a Private Cloud as well as the benefits their customers will realize from the resulting VMware vCloud Director-based implementation.
